Orientation Information
SCD KST Orientation Information
Orientation is a program of activities that introduces you to your place of study and the services available to help you find your way around and pursue your studies knowing that you will be supported in your learning and other needs as they may arise. The Orientation program is one of these services.
A list of student services is set out below with an indication of where to find the relevant information on this website or in the Learning Management System, as relevant. The main part of this list of services is available for all students enrolled in awards of the Sydney College of Divinity, to assist you to reach your academic goals and keep you safe and well along the way. For overseas students, additional assistance is available to help you settle into Australia and your local neighbourhood.

2nd Semester 2023, Orientation Program
All SCD students commencing their studies, including overseas students, are expected to participate in the Orientation Program arranged for their benefit. Through it you will be offered useful information about academic matters, about how we will support your studies, and how we will strive to make your overall experience while you are with us safe and enjoyable. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

English language support:
We offer theological English classes and special English support classes at every semester, in order to help students with English language and to enable them to be able to read higher literacy level of works in English. And it will also assist students to graduate from B.Th. degree and postgraduate degrees. There are online Preliminary English session is available for all student to participate.

Admission Procedure (Undergraduate)
How to Enrol
Step 1: Select a course
Choosing a suitable course can be done through consultation with the Registrar of the SCD Korean School of Theology. An applicant can obtain the required documents through the Registrar or download from the website, http://kst.scdstaging-bbdev.net/enrollment/
Step 2: Complete forms & submit
The applicant completes all the required paperwork and sends it to the SKT Registrar, who will check the documentation and if complete set a date and time for the next step.
Step 2: Attend an interview
It is a requirement that all applicants attend an admission interview with academic advisors at the Korean School of Theology. The interview will be conducted by SKT Academic staff, normally face to face or in rare occasions by telephone, email or video. The purpose of the interview is to help select the right course, to ensure the admission requirements are met, and to plan a program of study appropriate to the course selected.
Step 4: Issuance of Offer Letter
The interviewer notifies the final approval of the application to the SKT Registrar. The Registrar then issues a Letter of Offer to the applicant confirming the acceptance into the course of study..
Step 5: Pay tuition fees
Payment of tuition fees is due after the Letter of Offer has been sent to student.

2023 Tuition Fee : $8,400 (Per Semester Indicative Full-time basis, $2,100 per unit)

Domestic students: can pay in three ways:

- FEE-HELP: If an Australian Citizen, the student can pay via Fee Help. This is a student loan scheme in which the Commonwealth Government pays the student’s tuition fees. Students pay back the fees through taxation if and when the student’s income rises above a minimum repayment threshold. Please complete the FEE-HELP form and note that only the original form is accepted by the Registrar.
- Upfront Payment: Students may pay by credit card or cheque (payable to Sydney College of Divinity)
- Direct Remittance: Students may choose to pay by making direct deposit(s) to the SCD bank account. For the bank details, please contact the Registrar. (Students need to provide their full names and student identification numbers.)
- International students: Payment of tuition fees is due prior to the issuing of the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). International students can pay in two ways:
- Upfront Payment: Students may pay by credit card or cheque (payable to Sydney College of Divinity)
- Direct Remittance: Students may choose to pay by making direct deposit(s) to the SCD bank account. For the bank details including SWIFT Code, please contact the Registrar. Student is given SCD Account number to transfer fees through online payment. (Students need to provide their full names and student identification numbers.)
Step 6: Issuance of CoE (Applies to International Students Only)
After confirming student payment details, the Registrar then produces CoE(Confirmation of Enrolment) which can be utilised in for the students’ visa applications.

1 Day Theology Student
If you wish to find out what is like to become a theology student, you may wish to visit a SCD KST campus as a ‘1 Day Theology Student’. You can attend your favourite class, meet the lecturers or staff in person, and get to know what is the SCD KST community is like.
